Nina Sosanya has played a variety of roles in theatre, television, and motion pictures. Her first significant theatrical success came with the 2001 television series Teachers and the National Theatre production of Anthony and Cleopatra. She also made appearances in Sorted, People Like Us, Love Actually, Nathan Barley, Renaissance, Casanova, Much Ado About Nothing, Cape Wrath/Meadowlands, the Doctor Who episode “Fear Her,” and FM. She played Karen Blaine in the Jonathan Creek episode “The Three Gamblers.”

In the second season of the BBC television serial Five Days, Sosanya played Colly Trent. She had appearances in the drama series Silk and Hustle on BBC One as well as the comedy television series Twenty Twelve on BBC Four.
